Independent
As an independent filmmaker, I like to take on smaller projects that stretch my knowledge beyond what I do for the big studios. This is a mixture of client productions and personal short films. Enjoy
This is a short film I did for the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Tried to go a little “samurai jack” with the look. Thanks to Jared Greenleaf and Taylor Krahenbuhl who contributed to the art direction significantly.
This is a short little Google Doodle I did in commemoration of legendary dance choreographer, Martha Graham. It premiered on Google.com on May 11, 2011.
This is a fun little animated Christmas Card I did of my family. The animation reflects all my kids (and dogs) personalities.
This is a little short inspired by the imagination of my 4 year old daughter. This played in several film festivals including New York City Children’s Film Festival.
This film is currently going through the film festival circuit. This is also part of a larger project called Conte Animated, which includes figurative works in a gallery exhibition.
The Turtle and The Shark is based on a Samoan legend. Together with 4 of my students, we traveled to Samoa showing this film and gave workshops in visual storytelling at the University of Samoa.
These are short segments I did for the Polynesial Cultural Center in Laie, Hawaii. They can be seen nightly during their night show, Ha – Breath of Life.
The Loch is a 3D short I directed for Penny Farthing Press in Houston Texas. It’s based off their children’s book series. The full 6 minute 3d short film is not available on the internet at the moment.
